What is included with THS.Homeschooling? included?
THS Homeschool places great emphasis on the Bible and the practical application of what is taught. Even in the core subjects of math, German, and English, our teaching approach is significantly different from that of other schools.
A good example of this is a math class in which students calculate the square footage of their room, for instance, and use that figure to estimate heating costs and a hypothetical rent. This helps them learn to apply mathematical concepts to their everyday lives.
In German class, on the other hand, we focus on examining biblical texts. Students read and analyze passages from the Bible to develop a deeper understanding of their meaning and message.
In English class, we focus on memorizing the “Our Father,” learning evangelism in English, and listening to sermons followed by a discussion. This allows students to not only expand their language skills but also their understanding of the Bible. Practical application is learned through role-playing, for example. This allows students to not only expand their language skills but also their application of them in daily life.
Through this specialized focus of our curriculum, we aim to provide our students with a well-rounded education that not only imparts academic knowledge but also fosters a deeper connection to the Bible and its practical application in daily life.
